Suzanne B. OBrien RN believes that *”Just like a baby entering this world, it’s important to prepare with special love and attention when someone leaves this world.”*
Suzanne is the Founder and Creator of Doulagivers. Doulagivers is the new specialized area of non-medical healthcare for the elderly.

In 2012, after 15yrs as an RN and Hospice nurse Suzanne made a journey to Zimbabwe and had a personal experience that led her to create Positive Passings, a forum and resource center for families to begin the conversations around end of life care.

As a volunteer working with hospice patients in Zimbabwe which trained neighbors to take care of an ‘end of life’ neighbor and their families, Suzanne was further inspired to create The *End of Life Doula* program.  Moved by the profound simplicity and community support provided by this Caregiver Program, Suzanne used this model as a base while incorporating the education and resources we are so fortunate to have available in our country.

END OF LIFE DOULAS ARE COMPANIONS TO THE DYING AND THEIR LOVED ONES.

Suzanne’s natural intuitive abilities and bedside experience as a hospice nurse give her the compassion and credibility necessary to discuss the confronting topic of death and dying.

Like The Death Chicks  Suzanne helps people realize “that death is not a taboo subject, but rather one for frank discussion and thoughtful advance planning”.  She is a lively speaker and we’re looking forward to an engaging conversation.

Because she is dedicated to this cause, *Suzanne now offers her Level 1 End of Life Doula Training by donation*.  This training is part of the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care Global Education Directory.  Go here for more information https://www.doulagivers.com

Her book Life, Love and Transition: Guidance for the End of Life is Suzanne B. O’Brien’s guide to achieving a dignified, meaningful death through the hospice experience and is available on Amazon.
